Alessandra Quintanilla is a junior at Francis Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley where she is a Feature and News Reporter/Beat Writer and Editor-in-Chief for the school’s newspaper The Poly Optimist. Fascinated with serial killers and cold cases, Quintanilla enjoys writing about overlooked topics in the world and incarcerated criminals, she is passionate to make her writing as a place to educate others and a safe place to relate to. She enjoys painting, she thinks of it as a way to creatively get her message across. Throughout her journalism journey, Quintanilla hopes to captivate and educate her community about unknown and overlooked problems in the world.
